Travelling Fellowships
ZUVENTUS International Traveling Fellowship of ACRSI - 2014.
» Applications are invited for the ZUVENTUS International Traveling Fellowship for the year2014, two Fellowships for each year

This fellowship is meant to be utilized abroad at a pre -selected center.

The application should contain a complete bio-data of the candidate, highlighting the contributions made by him/her to teaching & research in the field of colorectal surgery.

The applicant should be a member of ACRSI. Preference will be given to members who have been awarded the fellowship of ACRSI.

The fellowship is primarily intended to promote surgical learning in the field of cob-rectal surgery. The selected candidate will undergo 4 weeks of observer’s post, rotating in all departments of colorectal surgery. He/she is further expected to use this training to impart knowledge to fellow members. He/she is also expected to actively participate in the activities of ACRSI.

He/she should complete his/her visit before 3lth July 2014 & 30th October 2014 respectively and submit his/her report to the Hon. Secretary of the ACRSI along with a certificate from the Head of the Institution before 31 st August & 30th October, 2014 respectively.

The fellowship consists of a grant of Rs. 50,000/- & the airfare. All other expenses other than the mentioned grant would have to be borne by the candidate himself/herself.

Obtaining a visa is the sole responsibility of the selected candidate. The Association is not responsibly for it, although it would help by providing supporting documents for the visa.

4 copies of the application along with the relevant enclosures, including copy of the passport, should reach the Hon. Secretary of ACRSI by 31st October, 2013.

The selection of candidate would be done by a duly appointed committee of ACRSI & its decision shall be final & binding.

If no suitable candidate is found for a particular year, no fellowship would be awarded that year.

A certificate & a plaque would be presented to the candidate.

Hargobind Foundation International Travelling Fellowship
» Applications are invited for the Hargobind Foundation International Traveling Fellowship for the year 2014 This fellowship is meant to be utilized at the Solihully Hospital, Birmingham, UK.

The application should contain a complete bio-data of the candidate, highlighting the contributions made by him/her to teaching & research in the field of colorectal surgery.

The applicant should be a member of ACRSI. Preference will be given to members who have been awarded the fellowship of ACRSI.

The fellowship is primarily intended to promote surgical learning in the field of cob-rectal surgery. The fellowship consists of a grant of US$ 2000/-, which would essentially cover the airfare & the cost of local stay. All other expenses other than the mentioned grant would have to be borne by the candidate himself/ herself.

Obtaining a U.K. visa is the sole responsibility of the selected candidate. The Association is not responsible for it, although it would help by providing supporting documents for the visa.

The selection of candidate would be done by a duly appointed committee o fACRSI & Hargobind Foundation & its decision shall be final & binding.

The candidate will have to travel to Mumbai to appear for an interview at his/her own cost. The date, venue & time of interview will be intimated to the candidate at least a week earlier. Receiving a call for interview does not guarantee granting of the fellowship.

If no suitable candidate is found for a particular year, no fellowship would be awarded that year.

A certificate would be presented to the candidate during the inauguration ceremony of the National (Mid term) Conference of ACRSI. The candidate will have to make a brief presentation regarding his/her fellowship during the same congress.

Zydus Alidac International Travelling Fellowship of ACRSI 2014
